The workshop will consist of two sessions: one for absolute measurements and one for scientific presentations.

The measurement session for calibrating and comparing magnetic instruments will be held at Changchun Magnetic Observatory (CNH) which is about 60 kilometers from Changchun City Center. A training sub-session will also be conducted at the observatory for absolute observations and other measurement techniques.

The scientific session will cover practical and scientific topics including instrumentation, real-time acquisition systems, calibrations, geomagnetic data processing, magnetic indices, secular variation studies, IGRF modeling, magnetic surveys and magnetometer networks. The location for this session is to be determined.
