Auroral particle precipitations: Mechanisms and basic physics

In this presentation I will introduce some viable mechanisms leading to particle precipitations, including the wave-particle interaction, chaotic motion of particles, parallel electric field etc. I will attempt to address the basic plasma physics underlying those mechanisms, and present examples and annotations to them based upon my research experiences.

梁君，1990毕业于武汉大学少年班，后进入（原）武汉物理所并一直从事空间物理研究。2004年于加拿大University of Saskatchewan物理系获博士学位。后于加拿大空间局(Canadian Space Agency)担任Visiting Scientist。现在加拿大University of Calgary任职Senior Research Scientist。主要研究方向为与极光(aurora)相关的电离层/磁层观测与理论，并负责或参与多种地面与星载仪器的数据校正工作。
